About Me
Hi there! My name is Melinda. I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, where I developed an appreciation for the warm hospitality of the South. After graduating from Jeffersontown High School , I moved to Bowling Green to attend , Western Kentucky University. I initially studied journalism but later discovered a passion for the legal field. This led me to transfer back to Louisville, where I earned an Associate of Science degree in Paralegal Studies from Sullivan University I later returned to Western Kentucky University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership.
While I cherish the traditions of the South and Midwest, I also appreciate the diversity and vibrant energy of big-city life. During my time in Miami, Florida, I worked as a promotional model, a paralegal, and the owner of a home staging business, Existing Compliments. These experiences inspired me to explore new passions. As Existing Compliments grew and expanded its services, I took the initiative to update the company’s website, teaching myself the basics of HTML, CSS, and WordPress.
In 2014, I married fellow Louisville native Joey Hardin in the scenic Smoky Mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. After living in Miami, my husband and I relocated to Dallas, Texas, before settling in the Kansas City metro area, where we have lived since April 2016. I enjoy traveling, gardening, and hiking in Kansas City’s beautiful parks. More recently, I discovered a passion for macramé and turned it into a business, launching "Melled it", where I sell my handmade arts and home décor.
